Today is May Day. The day where overly loud, overly obnoxious, overly dirty people who represent only a microscopic minority of Americans, but still they come out and demonstrate. Though they are far from representative of the nation as a whole, they pose a serious threat They seek to make our country more Marxist and in so doing would destroy the greatest nation on earth. In addition, they pose a serious public health risk with their adverse feelings towards personal and group hygiene. However, do not fear for I have the product that solves all your Occupy Wall Street woes and it is called Hippie Be Gone. The perfect solution to all your Marxist related headaches.
I Found A Californian Dumber Than Lindsey Lohan
California is a beautiful place to live. It has nice weather, beautiful beaches and plenty of things to do. However, California has also provided some of the dumbest people to have ever appeared in the public spotlight. Making a run for the top of the list, are the members of the California Air Resources Board that give even the likes of Lindsey Lohan a run for title of “most idiotic”.
Today I saw an article on Fox News “California Passes Sweeping Auto Emissions Standards.” The article in part stated that new rules unanimously passed by the California Air Resources Board:
“require that one in seven of the new cars sold in the state in 2025 be an electric or other zero-emission vehicle.
Are they really lacking so much intelligence as to suggest that they will dictate what people can and cannot buy? How will this be enforced? Will dealers have to put up “not for sale yet” signs till they meet the soviet style, centrally planned mandates? Will they have to tell their customers, “sorry you cannot buy that car, but you can buy this electric car that is liable to catch on fire.” If the people want something, they will buy it. Do not force it down our throats with mandates such as these.

It’s Progressivism, Not Democrats That Is the Cancer
The Republican primaries are drawing nearer and nearer, and now the latest front runner, not named Mitt Romney is Newt Gingrich. Some people say, “anyone other than Mitt Romney,” and for a while I agreed with them, but now I have to ask a question. Is Newt Gingrich better than Mitt Romney? That is the question I will look at in my next post, but let me first give you something to think about, hat tip to Glenn Beck. What is really the problem in America, is it overspending or is it progressivism? Is it over-taxation or is it progressivism? Is it corruption or is it progressivism? Is it over-regulation or is it progressivism? Let Glenn Beck answer those question, and that in turn will frame my answer to the Newt vs. Romney question for my next post. Watch Glenn Beck’s speech before CPAC in 2010

Shipping Down to Philly
The 2011-2012 Major League Baseball season ended in disappointing fashion for the Boston Red Sox when they squandered a 9 game lead and failed to make the postseason. The off-season was sure to bring big changes for the team, and to begin, the shock waves from this historic collapse cost manager Terry Francona his job. Then the next bombshell dropped, general manager Theo Epstein left the Red Sox to join the Chicago Cubs. Then, this past Friday afternoon then first big move of free agency was announced, closer Jonathan Papelbon is taking his river dance to Philadelphia.
The news of Papelbon’s departure saddened me. Papelbon had been my favorite Red Sox player since he made his Major League debut in July of 2005. His intensity and craziness on and off the field endeared him to me from the beginning, reminding me of myself. Some of my favorite memories of the Red Sox involve him. Who could ever forget him telling David Letterman that his dog ate the ball from the last out of the World Series, or the images of him river dancing after they won in 2007?
My family is from Philly and are all Phillies’ fans, and while the Red Sox are my first love, the Phillies are my National League team. I am sad to see Papelbon go, but I am happy to see that Jonathan Papelbon is at least going to a team that I like and wish him the best of luck. He should put up great numbers going from the AL East to the National league.

Way Out There On a Limb
I will make a prediction that people will say is insane, but I do not believe we have seen Terry Francona’s last day as Manager of the Red Sox. I just get that feeling, that we will see Francona in a Red Sox uniform again someday. I get this feeling especially since Francona removed himself from consideration for several manager positions to take some time off.

Wall Street Protests Stink
If the nine most terrifying words in the English language for a conservative are, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” For a liberal protestor the three scariest words must be, “it’s bath time!”
